We wanted to have a fun outdoor mountain wedding and it was!
THE DETAILS
How long to plan wedding: Six (6) months.Number of Guests 120 with 50 flying in from out-of-town.
Wedding Site: Cascade Village, Durango Mountain Resort - Durango, Colorado.
The Planning
My Dad did most of the planning although we did attend the Durango Wedding Expo.
The Flowers
White daisies, aspen leaves and roses in a variety of bright colors; purple, yellow, orange, pink, blue – everything but red.
Special Touches
1. My dad disliked our choice for the tuxes so for the father/daughter dance he came out dressed in a sparkling gold tux.
2. For my wedding ring, we mounted my Grandma’s 25th wedding anniversary diamond unto a white gold band.
3. My mom was my maid-of-honor.
Best thing about the Day
According to Matt, “The moment I saw Amber walk down the aisle.”
Our Advice
Listen to each other and work together. It makes more fun for the both of you.
