The music you choose plays an important role throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. It conveys your feelings of joy and celebration and reflects your personality. Music can transform a 'nice wedding' into a 'lovely wedding' and beautiful reception.
Hiring a musician(s) adds to the romance of your day.
You may want to hire them just for your wedding ceremony, reception
or both. Consider one of the following:
Chamber Music
Bagpiper
Pianist
Guitarist
Harpist
Trombone Player
You'll want to hear the musician(s) perform before hiring them.
Try to go to one of their performances or another event to hear
them. Ask for references and request a tape.
Here are a few questions you should ask a musician before hiring:
How long have you been performing?
How many weddings have you performed at?
Can you play the selections I want? If not, will you learn them?
How will you dress?
How many breaks will you take? How long?
Will you be able to provide continuous music or taped music during
the breaks?
Are there any extra costs not included in your quoted fee?
What is your payment schedule and cancellation policy?
What is your hourly fee? Overtime fee?
