A wedding is one of the most exciting and challenging events of your life to prepare for. Music has always been an essential part of any celebration, and when it comes to your wedding, you deserve the very best.

Music ranges from the soft background of a solo violinist to a lively rock and roll party. Experienced disc jockeys who specialize in weddings understand the timing of different reception events, such as announcing the couple’s first dance and the cake cutting, and can act as a master of ceremonies to emcee and coordinate the activities for you.

When choosing a disc jockey service for your wedding, reception and/or dance, keep in mind that it is YOUR day! Make sure the disc jockey service that you select can provide you with the ability to customize their services to suit your needs, wants and budget.

This should include being able to select the size of sound system that meets your requirements and budget, background music for your reception, varied music genres for your dance and any special lighting systems and effects.

If you are unfamiliar with the disc jockey service try to attend some of their performances before you make your final selection. Ask how many breaks they take, what their special equipment needs are and whether the disc jockey will handle the emcee activities. Make sure to ask about any “hidden costs”…such as set up and tear down fees, extra charges above and beyond their hourly fee should you wish to extend the time on your contract, etc. You will also need to determine beforehand your special music needs - for example, the Bride and Groom dance, Father and Daughter dance, etc.

With so many details your disc jockey service should be able to assist you in making your special day easy and enjoyable for you and your guests and should be able to establish a plan that will work for YOU!
