WEDDING DAY TRANSPORTATION

Everything about your wedding day should be special including your transportation.  Arriving at your ceremony, relaxed and unruffled, elegantly chauffeured is the perfect way to begin your wedding day celebration.

Take the time to plan the transportation for you, your wedding party, and out-of-town guests.  Consider how you want to arrive to the ceremony, travel to the reception and depart to your hotel.

LIMOUSINES
Limousines can be acquired for the entire day or just a few hours, picking you up at home, delivering you to the ceremony, reception and even to the airport to depart on your honeymoon.

It is traditional for the limousine to carry the bride and her father to the ceremony, while a second limo transports the brides mother and bridesmaids. After the ceremony and reception the newlyweds ride together either alone or with their attendants.

A formal limousine seats four and a typical stretch sedan holds six people.

HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE
For a unique and unforgettable entrance, step out of a decorated carriage and walk down the aisle like a queen. You may choose to have your bridesmaids arrive in a carriage as the groomsmen await their arrival or both bridesmaids and groomsmen may ride in the same carriage and step-out together.

The most popular use of carriages is the grand exit as Husband & Wife. There is nothing quite as beautiful and romantic as a bride being led to a waiting carriage and driven away on a starry night or under clear blue skies.  It can be an unforgettable experience for the happy couple as well as a memorable sight for the wedding guests.

Another option is to have the flower girl and/or ring bearer ride together with the bride & groom in a vis-à-vis carriage (which seats four in two seats facing each other). The rest of the wedding party can then follow behind in either another carriage, limousine or on horseback.

A carriage can be decorated to match the theme of your wedding and outfitted to the season.  Consult the driver about decoration ideas and his/her matching attire.

A horse-drawn carriage travels about a mile in fifteen minutes, so you may want to set a realistic limit of riding no more than five miles.  Set a route with the driver and arrange other transportation if needed.

If you want to make your entrance or exit truly grand - spring for a horse-drawn carriage!

TRANSPORTATION FOR YOUR OUT-OF-TOWN GUESTS
Consider hiring vans or even a bus to transport your guests from their hotels to the church and reception.  If you have willing friend/family members able to do the job, make sure each has a list of who they are transporting, where they will meet and when they must arrive at each location.

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO ASK...

1.  How do you base your charges (hourly. 1/2 day, etc)?

2.  Is there a minimum rental time?

3.  What are the polices on decorating the vehicles?

4.  Are the vehicles licensed and insured?

5.  Are the vehicles available to see before booking?

If the day is to be filled with champagne toasts, providing safe transportation for all is a smart idea!
